Dennis Pedersen
This ugly mug is Dennis Pedersen and he lives in the illustrious city of Aalborg in Denmark. For those of you who do not know Denmark, I can assure you that it is an actual country and not just a highway to Brussels...
He first picked up a camera in 2014 and it was, as they say, love at first sight. From the get go his passion was black and white street/urban photography. Less really is more when it comes to capturing images in their raw black and white form. It helps you cut out distractions and focus on the essential emotion of the picture. This makes it perfect for the documentary style that is so central in street photography. His hope is to keep documenting everyday life around him for many years to come.
One of the important endeavors in photography is "the project" and as a lifelong sufferer of the dreaded "Gear Acquisition Syndrome" (GAS) in its many shapes, it did not take Dennis long to finde his first big project: "One camera, one lens". By focusing on taking pictures and not equipment, he hopes to gain a deeper insight into the essentials of photography. If that fails he will at least have saved enough money to find a new hobby...
Stay tuned for more updates from him, his Fuji X-T2 and XF35mm f/2.
PS, Dennis is not sure why this whole "speaking about himself in the third person" is so popular among photography pages but he kind of likes it.
